年号の読み方
年号は通常二桁づつに区切って読むのが基本です。
2010年代ですと、二つの読み方があります。
2017 two thousand and seventeen 2000年と下二桁を読み方
2017 twenty seventeen 二桁づつに分ける読み方
2000年代は殆ど2桁に分けることはありません。
2003 two thousand and three 2000年と一桁
2005 two thousand five
2009 twenty oh nine この場合の二桁に分ける読み方はあまり聞かないです
1900年代は2桁づつに分けて読みます。
1980 nineteen eighty
1945 nineteen forty-five
1900 nineteen hundred
月の書き方、読み方
書き言葉では月の名称を短縮した省略形がよく使われます。英語では単語を省略する際は単語の最後にピリオド「.」を打ちますが、月の省略形を使う際もピリオド「.」を打ちます。省略形は長い単語をアルファベット３つか４つに省略するので、Mayは省略されることはありません。Julyは3文字の短縮形かそのまま4文字でも使われます。Septemberも3文字のSep.にするか、もしくは4文字Sept.とも書きます。省略形で書かれていても、読み上げる際の口語では省略されることはありません。3文字全てを大文字にする省略形もあります。

日にちの読み方
日にちは序数詞と同じで、数字の後ろにthを付けた数詞を使います。

年月日の書き方、読み方
日付の書き方にはアメリカ英語とイギリス英語によって違いがあります。
アメリカ式は「月・日・年」の順番で書き、イギリス式は「日・月・年」の順番で書きます。
07/09/2017と書かれている場合、アメリカ英語では2017年7月9日ですが、イギリス英語では2017年9月7日を意味します。全世界からのお客様に応対する接客英語では、こうした混乱を避けるため、領収書など日付には、数字だけを並べずに、必ずJuly 9th, 2017や7th September 2017などの表記にしましょう。特定の顧客と交わすビジネス英語でしたら、どちらか好きな書き方を選んだ後は、必ず統一した記載方法を使うといいでしょう。

英国式「日・月・年」の読み方
アメリカ英語もイギリス英語でも、日付が先にくる場合は、定冠詞theを日付の前に入れて読みます。また月の前に前置詞ofを足して読みます。
11 January 2017 the eleventh of January, two thousand seventeen
接客英会話のなかでは、米国式、英国式どちらを使ってもいいでしょう。
但し、日にちの前にtheを付けて読みましょう。
